       This freebie has nothing to do with the Girl Scouts and the Brownies of today, lol. In "The Brownies at Home" by Palmer Cox (PDF ebook) the brownies are cute little characters by Palmer Cox. I just love 'em. Cute little gnomes similar to the Whos in Whoville, lol.

     This goody would be great for homeschool, classroom or just for family fun. Think literature, geography, seasonal science, etc.

     I really like the "Around the World In 80 Days" video game freebie over at Game Giveaway of the Day. Today: Around the World in 80 Days: So much so, that I found you lot's of other tidbits, illustrations and links about the novel and the man who wrote it.
     Besides being lot's of fun with really cool graphics, I think this would be a great reward for students studying the book in literature, or world geography, or relevant history, or even modes of transportation such as the hot air balloon.
     The program is available for $13.95, but it will be free full version to keep forever today only.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Hidden Object game let's you travel around the world on adventures, playing with hundreds of thousands of other animal aficionados! Cute! I think it would be fun to incorporate in animal and geography studies for homeschool or even classroom as a treat!

Ever heard that proclamation from a child, albeit with the different "but" implied?
     These visuals ought to help. And yes, I spelled "but" wrong on purpose, forgive me for being punny on occasion, lol.

As 2 Dynamic Moms put it "Do you know your butte from your isthmus? At the very front of the text it has physical land form pictures with their names as a reference. So I created these land form fact cards that helps any age be able to memorize the physical landforms."

Wow I love the freebies on this homeschooling blog. I'm going to print these on nice white cardstock when I can get some, AND when I can afford the ink, lol. Meanwhile, I downloaded the great PDF and it'll be great to play these with the kids:
