18 Free Colorful Geography Fact Cards About Landforms For Homeschool Etc.

Butte...how do I tell the difference...
Ever heard that proclamation from a child, albeit with the different "but" implied?
These visuals ought to help. And yes, I spelled "but" wrong on purpose, forgive me for being punny on occasion, lol.

As 2 Dynamic Moms put it "Do you know your butte from your isthmus? At the very front of the text it has physical land form pictures with their names as a reference. So I created these land form fact cards that helps any age be able to memorize the physical landforms."

Wow I love the freebies on this homeschooling blog. I'm going to print these on nice white cardstock when I can get some, AND when I can afford the ink, lol. Meanwhile, I downloaded the great PDF and it'll be great to play these with the kids:

Free Polar Bear Plush Adoption Kit With Donation of at least $9 a Month to Help Save this Wonderful Species

Their habitat is melting away. Please help before its too lateClick here to find out how you can help precious animal species and receive a gift in return. I think this would also make a marvelous part of a classroom or homeschool project about endangered and other threatened animal species! World Wildlife Fund: Help us save precious wildlife:

Here's how the world wildlife fund explains it:
Due to poaching and habitat loss,
two-thirds of polar bears could be gone by 2050.
"As climates grow warmer, polar bears are struggling to survive.

Without sufficient sea ice and snow, it is harder for these animals to hunt or build dens to raise cubs. Your symbolic adoption could mean the difference between survival and extinction for species and wildlife around the world.
Donate Today!"

Check out this video about polar bears from YouTube:

Free Poppy Digital Scrapbook Embellishment in Honor of Veterans Day etc.

PoppyAlthough born in the United States I grew up in Canada, and I remember how huge and solemn an occasion "Remembrance Day" was in school there. Well today Veterans Day Nov. 11 the French company Studio-Scrap is offering a FREE poppy...for you to use in scrapbooking, school papers or you name it:
Here's what they say:
"Show respect and your love of traditions and use our Free poppy.
It is the time of the year where we celebrate the end of World War I. Poppies are now less a means to help the last war veterans and more a sign of respect for memories.

What can you do with your poppy?
You can use it to add to your favorite social network profile picture, like Facebook...
